TODAY!!! The sun has come out on the West Coast for the first time in June and Marc and I have had an outdoor filled weekend. Last night we went down to the Vedder River and had a fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. There were many nights in Kenya that I dreamed of doing exactly this and it lived up to all my expectations!
Marc being all manly and stuff making the fire.
Niko basking in the much awaited sun.
Today we climbed up Tea Pot hill and found this tree that had been hit by lightning.
The view of Mount McGuire from our window tonight.
Hope you all are enjoying the sun too!

You guys always have such fun photos!!
Hi Chilliwack Family,
It looks like you had a great time on your wiener roast. That s'more looks mighty good!!! That tree was huge!
Love Mum :)
Mom was distracted by your spread feet showing off the size of that tree stump Marc. She had a good laugh when I showed her the charred tree trunk etc! :)
Dad
thanks for the comments!
the tree struck by lightning IS actually the one i am jumping off. i think they cut it down for safety reasons. it is huge... the part of the trunk still around after the lightning strike was around 50m long! (see the pic of niko walking along it) even with its crown missing, it would have towered over all the other regrowth trees around it.
