The Laundry is Done!

Yeah, yeah, yeah! I have good news to report! I have COMPLETELY finished my laundry. The laundry quagmire was starting to reach its breaking point this past weekend. There were baskets and baskets of dirty laundry and I was feeling really overwhelmed with how much there was so instead of dealing with it, I just ignored it. (A wonderful way to deal with problems I know.) Then on Wednesday night, Marc was getting ready for work and was looking for clean socks and underwear. Well he couldn't find any clean socks or underwear and he has like 30 pairs of underwear and I have recently bought him 12 new pairs of socks because we kept mysteriously "running out" of socks. (This couldn't be because of my laundry debacle.) Anyways on Wednesday night when we couldn't find any clean socks or underwear I decided I needed to go to the laundromat. Marc had suggested this before but I kept putting it off saying I could handle all the laundry myself.

I am so happy I went. Now we have clean laundry, it is all put away folded and fresh and it only took me two hours. I love laundry. For now dun dun dun...........

Ah, the linty satisfaction that comes with completing a months worth of laundrical procrastination. I too just completed this process, prompted by ever-increasing frustration with the ever-decreasing clothing selection every morning. I love laundry days! I keep thinking, 'oh yah, I could've worn this nice button-up shirt to that semi-formal gig instead of that tattered old t-shirt from some Mexican resort town!' Well, summer is almost here, and that means less socks to wash, and that's a good thing right?

Just a question--why the laundromat? Is it because you won't leave until it's done? Or because of the large machines that can fit more into a load that your teeny-weenie ones? Just curious.

Fraser, it is good to see you still exist! You make me laugh. And Shareen, the laundromat has washers that can do 5 loads at once - did you read that? FIVE! Anyways, I ended up doing 15 loads. ;) Kylie
